What We’re About:

Yavneh engineering is a hands-on multisensory experience and elective class delving into the diverse disciplines of engineering. The class regularly meets every Monday and Wednesday to learn the ins and outs of engineering to advance student knowledge, creativity, and comprehension.

Specific Disciplines Include:
  • Electrical engineering
  • Coding
  • Aerospace engineering
  • Civil engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • And many more!

For most of the course, the elective’s curriculum has consisted mainly of competing in the Center for Initiative in Jewish Education (CIJE) Innovation Day competition, otherwise known as the Capstone project. Now, the engineering class is submitting multiple projects to the Technology Student Association (TSA) competition. Both programs have a competition in which students compete against other schools around the state and country.
